Torba- The Snowdrones EP

Torba- The Snowdrones EP

Torba hail from Germany and are a current act. This EP is flooded with

white noise. It doesn't just kick to that though it builds in a great way from a single guitar

and suddenly five minutes in or more you realize you are being consumed with these sound waves.

This is well done for what it is and has little to no cheese factor like many "Metal" Noise

Projects.

For fans of Boris, Christian Fennesz, Nadja.

Nesey Gallons- Eyes & Eyes & Eyes Ago

Nesey Gallons- Eyes & Eyes & Eyes Ago

Referred by my friend as "Psychedelic Elliot Smith". Nesey Gallons an old roommate

and friend is a great producer specializing in old equipment and techniques dating back to even the 19th century, but yet this album came out 2009. This is for fans of Mount Eerie, Neutral

Milk Hotel, and Elliot Smith. Don't get the wrong idea though this is very much him and old

friend writing and producing harmonious songs while living in Maine with less noise than you might be expecting. If you like acoustic or just damn good harmonies download this.

Pavement- Slanted and Enchanted

Pavement- Slanted and Enchanted

This is the first Lp from Pavement, it ia basically a singles collection due to most the songs being

put out previously. This album is my favorite album from the band. During this album they

had a different drummer, that caused there to be a lot sleezier element to the band before going more produced and together on th next album "Crooked Rain".

If you dont know pavement just download it and check it out cause it can appeal to

fans of all genres. If you do know pavement and don't know this album or don't

really enjoy Pavement still download this, because it will open you up to a new pavement

Out in '91

Neu!- 2

Neu!- 2

Neu! is a band formed out of members of Kraftwerk in Germany. They are very much in the same vein but almost taking it to another level. This is an iconic album in krautrock and in electronic music.

This album was super futuristic at the time going on to inspire Eno, Joy Division, PiL, along with inspiring most future electronic music.

The Apples in Stereo- Science Faire

The Apples in Stereo- Science Faire

The first full length from the band. it is a collection of their singles, probably my favorite overall album from these guys. It is a psychedelic pop, with many lo-fi aspects. This album came out '96. This Apples in Stereo's "Energy" was featured on a Pepsi commercial and they also created the Powerpuff girls theme song.

Baroness- Second

Baroness- Second

This is the best Baroness album out to date and seems that it will stay that way with the

direction Baroness is taking. Baroness is from Savannah, Georgia and blew up a few years ago

when releasing their album "Red". They are progressive metal think Isis, Torche, Pelican, etc.

This album along with the E.P. before this, "First", is what got me into progressive metal and even doom. So if you like progressive or doom metal this album is essential, not to say that it is exactly both of those genres. Even if you aren't into those genres Download it and maybe you will start having an appreciation for them.

Animosity-Altered Beast

Animosity- Altered Beast

This is a three song E.P. from a collaboration between Animosity & Drumcorps.

It has three tracks, each one from "Animal" by Animosity, each being manipulated by a breakcore DJ Drumcorps.

If your into grindcore or want to here some fucking fast beats download this.

Karlheinz Stockhausen-Hymnen

Karlheinz Stockhausen-Hymnen

Most defining piece of musique concrete in my opinion.

Without this album there would be no Techno, Drone, Noise, even most Psychedelic

Its an hour long track.

Airs- A Left Turn At Happiness

Airs- A Left Turn At Happiness

Shoegaze Black Metal from San Fran.

Fucking sick band, Download at least this album if not the new single too.

They give them out free online, which is the smartest thing

to do. I mean we all know its going to get out anyway why not give it out yourself.

Bloody Panda- Summon

Bloody Panda- Summon

Bloody Panda is an experimental Drone Metal Band from NYC. They were started by

a female Japanese artist who moved to New York with instruments wanting to start a

band but without knowing how to play an instrument, what a damn good product.

If you like any drone metal especially Monarch or Sunn your going to love this.

It is intricate and well produced, with sounds in just the right spaces.

If you enjoy Drone Metal you need to download this album.
